Besides the B940 launched in June, Intel has made available this month the “Sandy Bridge”-based Pentium B950 laptop CPU, which is now available in some notebooks on the US market.
We have compared specs of the Pentium B940 and B950, both with dual cores, integrated graphics, and 2MB of L3 cache, and the only difference is in their clock speeds. The latter processor is clocked at 2.1GHz, 0.1GHz faster than the former. B950′s PassMark score is 1,982, very close to 940′s 1,978.
We have spotted the B950 in the Acer Aspire AS5750Z-B954G50Mnkk and HP Pavilion dv4-4030us.
