Razer Launches Blade Thin Gaming Notebook with Secondary Display

Gaming hardware maker Razer has announced the Razer Blade, a 17.3″ laptop with an innovative user interface, slim design, Intel CPU, and Nvidia graphics.
Razer BladeBesides the main full HD screen, the Blade has a secondary multi-touch display on the right side of the keyboard (with isle keys and backlight). That touchpad-sized screen can be used for gaming commands or for displaying in-game info, and is accompanied by ten programmable tactile keys above it.
The minimalistic designed chassis is made of black aluminum and is 0.88 inches thin. The laptop weighs slightly less than 7 pounds with its 60Wh battery.
Inside the gaming notebook there’s the Intel Core i7-2640M dual-core processor with integrated graphics, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 2GB dedicated video card, Nvidia Optimus switchable GPU technology, 8GB RAM, and a 320GB hard drive, but the system lacks an optical drive.
The notebook will go on sale in North America in Q4 2011, with a $2,800 price tag.
